The COVID-19 pandemic has been a shot in the arm for the adoption of legal tech in Australia, with office shutdowns forcing lawyers and clients to find new ways of working.

Firms and in-house legal teams have been concentrating on “keeping the lights on” and have by necessity adopted technological solutions, said Caryn Sandler, who leads the legal service innovation team at Australian firm Gilbert + Tobin and at G+T Innovate, the firm’s legal technology consultancy business.
