At least they still have jobs and bonuses!
National firm Mills & Reeve has announced that every member of staff will get a bonus of at least £966 this year, after financial results that appear to defy the coronavirus effect.
The firm said this week it had increased turnover by 2.9% to £114.1m for the year ending 31 May – more than two months into the UK’s lockdown. The firm declined to give details of profits.
As happened last year, the firm will pay a bonus to every employee depending on length of service. This year the figure will be £966 for full-time workers who joined in the past year rising to £1,111 for those who have been there at least five years. But the bonus levels are down on the past two years, when long-term staff received £1,500 and £2,300 respectively.
Mills & Reeve said it responded to the pandemic by migrating almost 1,000 employees to working from home. Since then, it has offered pulse surveys to check on wellbeing, weekly Zoom support calls and resources and supposed through wellbeing supporters and champions.
