In its first orders related to the COVID-19 pandemic, a federal judicial panel refused to coordinate cases brought against banks over their handling of COVID-19 relief loans to small businesses.

The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation, in three separate orders Wednesday, denied requests to create MDLs for cases alleging banks prioritized larger and existing customers over small businesses in their distribution of loans under the Paycheck Protection Program.
