VIRUS OUTBREAK-NEVADA

CARSON CITY, Nev. — Nevada health officials report at least 219 deaths statewide from the coronavirus outbreak, an increase of 13. The state Department of Health late Monday also reported nearly 4,700 cases of COVID-19. Nevada and Colorado on Monday joined a western regional pact to help fight the outbreak while moving closer to reopening businesses and modifying stay-at-home orders. SENT: 180 words. A watchdog group is asking the New Mexico Court of Appeals to put the brakes on a key construction project at the nation’s only underground nuclear waste repository. CENSUS PARTICIPATION-NEVADA

CARSON CITY, Nev. — More than half of Nevada households have filled out their census questionnaire, matching the nationwide response rate of 53.4%, a report said. The Census Bureau released data Monday that revealed that Boulder City, Henderson and Fallon had over 60% participation, the Nevada Appeal reported. Boulder City had the highest participation rate with 62.6%. SENT: 220 words.
