Employees at Bakersfield nursing home test positive for COVID-19

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Employees at Kingston Healthcare Center in Bakersfield tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to the interim director of nursing at the facility four employees have the virus and all have been home since they started showing symptoms.

The director also said the state did an inspection and the facility is following all COVID protocol.

Eyewitness News reached out the the California Department of Public Health to confirm the results of the inspections.

CDPH responded that the results are confidential until the investigation is complete.

Residents and their families have been notified of the situation according to the Kingston nursing director.
