POLICE are cracking down on anti-social behaviour as part of Neighbourhood Policing Week with PCSOs conducting high visibility foot patrols around Warrington town centre and other hot spots.
Officers have provided further reassurance to areas that have recently been subject to ongoing anti-social behaviour issues, including Cineworld, McDonald’s, Golden Square and Warrington Bus Station.
On Saturday afternoon a 13-year-old boy was arrested for assault as police stepped up patrols to tackle increasing anti-social behaviour in Warrington town centre.
Police say there has been an increase in anti-social behaviour in the town centre involving youths aged 11-16.
Meanwhile, also as part of Neighbourhood Policing Week, Neighbourhood Officers have been briefed as part of an ongoing Operation to deter cross-border criminals. Officers were deployed to Warrington West train station with PD Leo their passive drugs dog.
This allows officers to identify possible county lines suspects and safeguard any vulnerable youths.
