Publicis Groupe healthcare network Publicis Health has acquired Needham, MA-based BBK Worldwide, an R&D marketing firm that is known for its work recruiting patients for clinical drug trials and other services.

Publicis Health said the transaction would complement its own clinical trial expertise.

As part of the acquisition, Publicis Health will acquire BBK Holdings, which in addition to BBK Worldwide, is the parent company of creative advertising agency 320Agency and several other operations.

BBK’s leadership team and organizational structure will remain in place, with CEO Joan Bachenheimer reporting to Alexandra von Plato, CEO, Publicis Health.
