Kylie Minogue is reportedly planning to make a major move back to Australia after spending 30 years in the UK after a lockdown realisation.

Since she first started out as everyone’s favorite mechanic on iconic Australian soap opera, Neighbours, Kylie Minogue’s career has truly gone from strength to strength. She is now perhaps best known for her music career which has seen her release fifteen studio albums over the past 33 years and has performed across the world.

Though the Covid-19 pandemic was incredibly challenging, Kylie opened up last year about the people who bring her joy, making a romantic statement about her boyfriend Paul Solomons. The couple have been dating for three years and reportedly spent nine months apart due to him remaining in the UK and Kylie being in Australia under Melbourne’s lockdown.

Now, Kylie appears to be very much looking ahead after the difficult recent times.

The singer has recently taken to Instagram to reveal that she is now looking “at the future”. Posting a stunning calendar-style poster of herself with ‘October’ written on it, Kylie cryptically captioned the image, “After a weekend of looking at the past I'm taking a second to look to the future 🌙🔮🕛”.

Whilst it’s not clear exactly what Kylie could have meant or have been planning for her future, this comes after it’s claimed she’s made a seriously major life decision. According to The Mirror, she is planning to move back to Australia permanently after 30 years in the UK, following her time there in lockdown.

The publication reports that a source close to Kylie alleged, “This is something she has been thinking about for a while. This year, when she was in Australia for an extended period due to travel restrictions, it gave her time to think about where she wants to be based.

They continued, “Like many artists she spends much of her life on the road or travelling so she doesn’t anticipate that this is a major change for her as she’s never in one place for a long time anyway.

"Covid has given her a lot of time to think about the future and she wants to see more of her family in the times when she isn’t travelling, and so she will use Australia as her base."

Kylie’s parents, brother Brendan, sister Dannii and nephew Ethan all live in the singer’s home country of Australia. It’s also been claimed by a source that the singer has changed her place of residence on her business documents to “reflect that she’s moving”.

They went on to add, “This won’t really change anything in Kylie’s life, apart from where she has chosen to call her home. Her love for London and the UK remains undiminished and she will still be here a lot.”

Kylie Minogue has yet to confirm or announce any possible move to Australia herself. Though with so much of her family there, it would likely be wonderful for the singer to spend more time with them in the future as she continues to delight fans across the world with her music.
