Neville to get Cook Co. Dems’ high court slating

A subset of the Cook County Democratic Party on Thursday recommended slating P. Scott Neville Jr. for the Illinois Supreme Court seat he currently holds on an interim basis.The party’s Supreme Court committee unanimously voted for Neville after hearing from him and six other potential candidates for the high court. The committee’s recommendation to slate Neville will be voted on by the full party today.Neville was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the June 2018 retirement of Justice Charles E. Freeman …
