For me empathy allows me to create bonds of trust, it gives me insights into what others may be feeling or thinking; it helps me understand how or why others are reacting to certain situations.
Companies are responding by including empathy training for managers, teaching listening skills rather than the old-school, hard-charging intimidation tactics preferred by some bosses.
