Many Wall Street and elite law firms, joining their corporate clients, have signed a letter to Mayor Bill de Blasio, urging him to restore “essential services” after budget cuts during the pandemic and recession.

The Sept. 10 letter, signed by more than 160 business leaders, addressed concerns about public safety and quality-of-life issues in New York City that the leaders say jeopardize economic recovery and the ability to return to work in the city.
