Weil, Gotshal & Manges has added to its growing number of recent lateral hires by picking up Brian Parness, a Goldman Sachs & Co., vice president and associate general counsel in New York.
Parness’ role at the global investment bank and investment management firm was to oversee daily execution of strategic transactions on behalf of Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He also advised different operating business units within Goldman Sachs Asset Management on investing activities and fund formation.
Before joining Goldman in 2012, Parness was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell.
