Wake Up Call: 2 Ex-McKool Partners Launch Litigation Boutique Targeting “New Standard”

• Former McKool Smith partners Courtland Reichman and Sarah Jorgensen launched a seven-partner litigation boutique, Reichman-Jorgensen, specializing in intellectual property. The boutique has offices in Silicon Valley, New York, and Atlanta. Reichman, who managed California offices of McKool Smith and King & Spalding, said Reichman-Jorgensen aims to set a “new standard” for law firms, abandoning the billable hour and the partner track, and that it already beats Cravath on the associate pay.After the exits, McKool shuttered its Silicon Valley office.
