Jackson Walker Acquires Two Laterals in Real Estate, Wealth Planning

Jackson Walker welcomes Pamela Madere and Scott A. Schepps as partners in the firm’s Austin and Houston offices.

Pam joins the Austin office’s real estate and land use section. In her role, Pam develops strategies for clients dealing with real estate contracts, zoning, subdivisions, site plans, development permits, development agreements, easements, condemnation, Municipal Utility Districts, environmental matters, water and wastewater regulations, and traffic issues. Pam is an adjunct professor at the University of Texas Law School, where she teaches a course on negotiations. She is actively involved with the Real Estate Council of Austin, the Central Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and the State Bar of Texas.

Scott brings to the Houston office’s wealth planning section more than 25 years of experience. Scott’s practice covers most aspects of wealth planning and probate, including preparation of incapacity documents, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and business succession planning. His clients include closely held business owners, corporate executives, real estate developers, and private equity firm principals. Scott is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Estate Planning and Probate Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the American and Houston Bar Associations and serves as a Director of the Sonnie Schepps Robinson Foundation. Scott received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.
