Caroline Jury further enhances firm's London finance practice; becomes the latest partner to come to MoFo from a magic circle firm

LONDON (PRWEB) February 13, 2018

Morrison & Foerster, a leading global law firm, is pleased to announce that Caroline Jury has joined the firm's London office as a partner in its Finance practice. Ms. Jury comes to Morrison & Foerster from Clifford Chance, making her the fifth partner in less than two years to join from a magic circle firm. She brings to the firm a wealth of experience and accomplishments in cross-border financial transactions.

"Caroline is a highly experienced lawyer with deep connections and experience in the London market and an impressive track record in building market-leading finance practices, including in Germany and most recently in Sydney," said Paul Friedman, Morrison & Foerster's managing partner for Europe. "Caroline's 26 years of experience in cross-border financial transactions will significantly deepen our London finance practice, which had a robust 2017. Her extensive experience in the German market will also help further build out our broader European finance practice."

Ms. Jury's practice focuses on cross-border leveraged acquisitions, corporate lending, restructuring and securitization/structured debt. She represents major banks, corporate borrowers and private equity firms on their financing requirements, including assisting them with the negotiation of unsecured and secured syndicated and bilateral loans, acquisition and IPO financings (including senior and mezzanine, unitranche and term loan B facilities), corporate bonds, and tax driven structured finance transactions. Ms. Jury also provides regulatory advice.

Ms. Jury's recent notable transactions include advising: a major bank on its financing of the acquisition of a Victorian bus company by a French/Australian joint venture; an international private equity firm on its financing for the proposed acquisitions of an Australian sports retail company, an online financial services company and a unitranche/term loan B financing of the acquisition of a cosmetic surgery retailer; various corporates on their financing requirements, including syndicated loans, IPO refinancing, hedging and security arrangements; and a leading Kuwait investment house on the restructuring of its indebtedness which included bilateral and syndicated loans, Islamic finance and Kuwait bonds.

Ms. Jury is just the latest finance partner to recently join Morrison & Foerster, following the additions of Dario Avram in San Francisco/New York, Angela Kerek in Germany and Yemi Tépé in Singapore over the past two years. Ms. Jury also joins Ms. Kerek, Ms. Tépé, Chuan Sun (Hong Kong) and Vivian Yiu (Hong Kong) as the latest partner to recently come to Morrison & Foerster from a magic circle firm.

"I am delighted to join the growing European platform at Morrison & Foerster. The firm has a strong reputation for its collaborative approach and ability to provide innovative solutions to its clients. I very much look forward to helping further build our finance practice in London, and working with my new colleagues across Europe, the U.S., and Asia to support MoFo's clients on their cross-border needs," said Ms. Jury.

Ms. Jury earned her LLB from University College, London and her Solicitors Final Examination from the College of Law, Chancery Lane. She is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia. A native English speaker, Ms. Jury also speaks German, French and Dutch.
