Dentons hires new Australian competition practice head from K&L Gates
Dentons has named a lateral hire as the new leader for the firm’s Australia competition group.

The global firm has appointed Lynsey Edgar as a partner in Sydney. She returns to the firm from K&L Gates, where she spent nearly six years and was most recently a special counsel.

“The firm is on a strategic growth path in Australia and will continue to build out capability and expertise in areas that reflect the needs of our clients globally,” said Ian Dardis, Dentons Australia CEO.

Edgar is an expert in competition and regulatory issues. She regularly advises clients on cartels, anticompetitive arrangements, merger clearance, exclusive dealing, misuse of market power, access, supply chain arrangements, competition law impact on commercial activities, the firm said.

Her appointment comes after the firm scored another partner from a rival global firm. In July, Mandi Jacobson joined the Dentons partnership from Baker McKenzie.
