Law firm bolsters Birmingham team with new hire

Squire Patton Boggs has bolstered its Birmingham team with the appointment of a new partner from Eversheds Sutherland.

Simon Jones has more than 27 years’ experience advising on a wide range of IT and outsourcing projects.

He was previously head of technology at Eversheds Sutherland in Leeds and was also global head of automotive at the firm.

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Jones was head of technology and sourcing at DLA Piper in Birmingham.

Stuart James, who leads the Birmingham intellectual property and technology practice at Squire Patton Boggs, said: "Simon has a very successful track record in advising on high profile IT and outsourcing projects in both the private and public sector.
