“Loughry out, Workman in as WV Supreme Court chief justice”: Today’s edition of The Charleston (W. Va.) Gazette-Mail contains a front page article that begins, “Allen Loughry was abruptly replaced by Margaret Workman as chief justice of the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals on Friday, following weeks of controversy over spending at the court and at least two state legislators calling for impeachment proceedings against Loughry.”

The Exponent Telegram of Clarksburg, West Virginia reports that “Workman selected to replace Loughry as chief justice, says it’s time to restore public respect to court.”

And Brad McElhinny of MetroNews reports that “Loughry is out as chief justice, referencing federal investigation.”
