Howie Mandel’s former Malibu Colony compound lists for $21.5M

The “Gremlins” voice actor sold this estate decades ago, yet still the neighborhood calls it by his name.

Howie Mandel’s former California ocenfront home has hit the market for a whopping $21.5 million, the listing brokerage told The Post. The listing, which went live Tuesday, is with the mother-son team of Irene Dazzan-Palmer and Sandro Dazzan, both of The Agency.

“‘That’s the old Mandel house,’ that’s how people describe it,” Palmer told Mansion Global of the approximately 3,580-square-foot Malibu retreat, which she described as ideal for “someone who lives in the city who wants their weekend bungalow or weekend home.”

The Toronto native and TV personality, 66, and his wife of 42 years, Terry Mandel, sold the manse in 1999, five years after purchasing it. “The Mandels, who have another home closer to Los Angeles, haven’t been using their getaway much for the past couple of years,” the Orlando Sentinel reported at the time, noting that the property — constructed in 1957 but remodeled by the Mandels, who built a guest quarters — was listed for $3.6 million.

Today the two-story house is laid out as a four-bedroom, four-bathroom abode, the separate guest house located off the courtyard. In addition to a one-bedroom suite, it also has a living room and a lofted gym, according to the listing

Too lazy to walk to the Pacific, despite it being mere steps away? The outdoor entertaining area features a sunken Jacuzzi tub, and the primary suite has a deck to look out at the water and coastline. This main bedroom also has dual vanities in its ensuite bath, as well as a rain shower and sitting area. The other two main house bedrooms are located on the second level.

The kitchen has a breakfast area, a center island and beachfront views.

And of course, all this is located within the gated community of Malibu Colony, a guarded Golden State retreat popular among celebrities.
