Cyber Monday 2018: Best home tech deals to watch for

The biggest online shopping holiday of the year, Cyber Monday, is here. This might be the last time to snag some smart home tech, either as a gift or to add to your own lineup.

You can expect deals on smart home hubs and speakers—the most popular being Google Home and Amazon Echo. Plenty of smart thermostats, security cameras, and doorbells will also be discounted.

Amazon Echo deals

• Echo: Amazon’s flagship smart home device will be on sale for $69.99 (usually $99).
• Echo Dot: The smaller Echo model will be on sale for $29.99 (usually $49.99).
• Echo Plus: Amazon’s smart speaker with a smart home hub built-in will be on sale for $109.99 (usually $149.99).
• Echo Spot: The Echo with a small screen will be on sale for $89.99 (usually $129.99).
• Echo Show: A larger screen model will be on sale for $179.99 (usually $229.99).

Google Home deals

• Google Home: The original Google smart home device will be on sale for $79 at Target, Dell and B&H (usually $129.99).
• Google Home Hub: Google’s new smart screen device smart will be on sale for $99.99 at Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and Jet (usually $149).
• Google Home Max: The extra large smart speaker will be on sale for $349 at B&H and the Google Store (usually $399).
• Google Home Mini: The smaller Google Home model will be on sale for $25 at Best Buy, Target and Jet (usually $49).
• Mini + Chromecast: A bundle that throws in Google’s TV streaming device will be on sale at Walmart for $45 (usually $74) starting 11/21.
• Mini + GE Smart Bulb: Get a GE Smart Bulb with the Google Home Mini at Lowe’s for $25 (usually $55).

Nest deals

• Outdoor camera: The outdoor version of Nest’s smart security camera will be on sale at Home Depot, Best Buy, Lowe’s, Target and Walmart for $149 (usually $199).
• Indoor camera: The indoor version of Nest’s smart security camera will be on sale at Home Depot, Best Buy, Lowe’s, Target and Walmart for $129 (usually $199).
• 3rd Gen. Learning Thermostat: Nest’s smart thermostat will be on sale at Home Depot, Best Buy, Lowe’s, Target, Walmart and Kohl’s for $179 (usually $249).
• Hello Video Doorbell: The app-connected video doorbell will be on sale at Home Depot, Best Buy, Lowe’s, Target, Walmart and Kohl’s for $179 (usually $229).

Ecobee deals

• Ecobee4 Smart Thermostat: Ecobee’s Alexa-enabled thermostat with an in-room sensor is on sale at Amazon and Best Buy for $199 (usually $249).
• Ecobee Lite Smart Thermostat: The earlier generation thermostat is on sale at Amazon for $147 (usually $169).
• Ecobee Switch+ Smart Light Switch: Ecobee’s app-enabled light switch is on sale at Amazon for $87.47 and at Best Buy for $79.99 (usually $99).

Other home tech deals

• Lenovo Smart Display 8”: Get this screen with Google Assistant built in for $149.99 at Best Buy and Walmart (usually $199.99)

• Sonos One Speaker: The Alexa-enabled smart speaker will be on sale at Best Buy for $174.99 (usually $199.99).
