This weekend’s open houses all have curb appeal — on the inside, they have a mix of details and modern updates. Located in Gowanus, Bed Stuy, Kensington and Cypress Hills, three appear to be in move-in condition, while the last remains a mystery.

First up is a three-family brick townhouse in Gowanus. The home was renovated by its owner in 2014 and has a number of interesting details, including wall moldings, four decorative mantels, at least one ceiling medallion, a stained glass transom, some tin ceilings and exposed brick throughout. Configured as three floor-throughs, the bottom apartment has private access to the finished cellar and backyard. The owners’ compact kitchen has an eat-in island and custom wood cabinets reaching to the ceiling, and the whole floor has central AC. Two pictured bathrooms have floor to ceiling subway tiles and a glass-enclosed stand-up showers with a checkered floor. The foyer has lovely grey millwork, and the other two units each have a washer and dryer. Together, they offer a current rent roll of $94,200, according to the listing.

Next, we have a brownstone in Bed Stuy that has retained some original details despite being a flip. The four-story, two-family house is presently configured as a triplex over a garden rental, and has central air, recessed lighting, plenty of exposed brick and a rooftop terrace. The triplex’s parlor level has two decorative mantels and a double-height wall of windows in the eat-in rear kitchen. A deck has steps down to the yard. The second story is a floor-through master suite with walk-in closet, double-vanity sinks and a tub and enclosed shower in the bath. The garden rental has two bedrooms, two baths, laundry and access to the backyard through a bedroom. The owner’s triplex has access to the finished cellar, which has a powder room and mechanicals.

After that we a renovated three-story wood frame in Kensington that’s a bit of a period mullet: historic in the front, modern in the back. There’s a front garden and front porch that add to its curb appeal, and a decorative mantel in the parlor. The sizable galley kitchen is sandwiched between a dining room and a family room. One bedroom has bay windows, and the arched attic space can easily fit a king size bed. The back deck is spacious, and the yard has been covered in synthetic turf.

Last up, a single-family early 20th century bungalow in Cypress Hills with a parking spot. This one is a bit of a mystery: There is only one photo, but the listing says it has original detail. Presumably, this could have potential but you’ll have to see to find out.
