A new hotel has opened in the Catskill Mountains of New York. Called Eastwind Hotel and Bar, it is located in Windham, just 140 miles north of New York City, where various types of accommodations, including A-frame cabins and suites, are available for booking.

Inspired by Scandinavian design, Eastwind boasts cozy rooms characterized by wood paneling, stone walls, midcentury furniture, and other simple details that were hand-picked by the owners, a group of friends with backgrounds in industries like hospitality, fashion, and food service.

The most enticing of the lodging options is the simple A-frame, called Lushna, Eastwind’s take on glamping. Measuring 220 square feet and propped on stilts, these cabins offer all the creature comforts like a queen bed, bathroom, a sauna—even Wi-Fi. A large picture window frames gorgeous views of Windham Mountain.

For a more traditional stay, guests can opt for the King and Suite rooms, both of which feature reclaimed wood and a subdued color palette accented with navy and black and white accents. The Suite comes with two king beds, two sitting areas, and a wood-burning fireplace. Head over to the website to book your stay.
