Blank Rome Partner Ira L. Herman will speak at the American Bar Association (“ABA”) Business Law Section Virtual Spring Meeting, being held April 19 through 23, 2021, as an online event.
Ira’s session, “Business Bankruptcy” will take place on Wednesday, April 21, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. CDT (12:30 to 2:00 p.m. PDT / 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. EDT). The panel will discuss the Third Circuit Court of Appeals’ recent ruling in In re Tribune Co., 972 F.3d 228 (3d Cir. 2020), which held that the Bankruptcy Code does not require subordination agreements to be strictly enforced in order for a court to confirm a cramdown plan, so long as the plan does not discriminate unfairly.
