Toys ‘R’ Us CEO Says Bankruptcy Marks ‘Dawn of a New Day’

The message from Toys “R” Us Inc. Chief Executive Officer Dave Brandon about 36 hours after filing for bankruptcy was simple: The world’s biggest toy chain will come out stronger.
“It’s the dawn of a new day for the company,” Brandon said Wednesday during a press event at a store in New York’s Times Square. “It’s the opportunity to do things we’ve wanted to do for a long time, but haven’t been able to.”
