VIDEO RELEASE: Blackburn Fights For Nashville’s Artists And Concertgoers

November 29, 2022

U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) highlighted the importance of enforcing her bipartisan legislation which has been signed into law, the Better Online Ticket Sales (BOTS) Act. The law makes it illegal for ticket scalpers to use software to purchase high volumes of tickets. The federal government needs to get serious about implementing the law to hold scammers accountable.

“While some consumers opt to purchase tickets on the secondary market, most fans cannot afford to pay thousands of dollars for a single concert ticket,” said Blackburn. “The federal government needs to get serious about implementing the BOTS Act to better protect consumers and artists from scammers.”
