Gillibrand looks to revive struggling presidential campaign

Email share

Since launching her presidential campaign in Rensselaer County this winter, longtime New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has failed to gain traction nationally.  In a field of two dozen candidates, she is being overshadowed by fellow Democrats Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris just to name a few.  According to current Real Clear Politics polling data, she's barely above zero.

She's in full campaign mode this month, taking a bus tour through the states of Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania where she will highlight President Trump's "broken promises."  We caught up with her this week in the all-important state of New Hampshire, which is always the first primary for presidential candidates.  She spent seven days in the Granite State, where she is also polling at less than one percent, visiting all ten counties in hopes of boosting her candidacy.

Tune in this weekend on your local PBS station.
