Protesters head for Stefanik’s office to voice opposition to healthcare bill

As the Bill Cassidy-Lindsey Graham bill, the latest incarnation of a Republican healthcare bill, gains momentum in the U.S. Senate, local elected officials and clergy will hold vigils and rallies at Congresswoman Elise Stefanik’s Glens Falls and Plattsburgh offices on Friday.

Protesters want to voice their opposition to the bill, believing it would cause 32 million people to lose health coverage, radically restructure and cut Medicaid and impact protections for pre-existing conditions.

“Kill the Bill” events will also take place at Congress members’ offices in Albany, Kingston, Utica and Binghamton.

Protestors will be outside of Stefanik’s Glens Falls office at 136 Glen St. from 4:30 to 6 p.m. All are welcome to join.
