SOMERS, NY — Westchester resident, Jordan Baker (aka Brown Dyed Girl) is teaming up with Hellmann's Mayonnaise to release a limited-edition tie-dye tracksuit in honor of the brand's new Spicy Mayo launch.

The Brown Dyed Girl boutique, located in Baldwin Place, was spotlighted in a Super Bowl Hellmann's commercial earlier this year, when Saturday Night Live comedian and actor Pete Davidson wore one of Baker’s loungewear designs. Her Instagram page drew the attention of Davidson's stylist, who reached out to Baker about using the outfits in the commercial.

“I’m excited to continue my relationship with Hellmann’s after designing Pete Davidson’s wardrobe for their 2022 Super Bowl commercial," said Baker. "Talk about a spicy celeb moment! Hellmann’s’ passion for innovative, fun and quality products are the same reasons why I started Brown Dyed Girl, making this collab a fit for anyone who’s looking to spice up their life!”

Baker graduated from Somers High School and studied fashion merchandising in college. She eventually quit a well-paying job in New York City to start a business selling tie-dyed loungewear. By that time, her hobby had transformed into a side business that she operated out of her parents’ basement.

Baker leveraged the popularity of loungewear during the pandemic lockdowns to maximize the marketing of her products. Her tie-dye designs have been spotted on many celebrities, including Hellmann’s partners Casey Wilson and Pete Davidson. Baker opened the boutique about two years ago, but sells her products mostly through social media. She designs the apparel and accessories in New York and manufactures the clothes in Los Angeles.

Baker was recently presented a special NYS Senate Empire State Award by NYS Senator Peter Harckham. The Empire Award recognizes businesses that make outstanding contributions to the growth, prosperity and betterment of their community and New York State.
