Two of Cynthia Nixon’s former “Sex and the City” co-stars have cut substantial checks for her Democratic primary challenge to Gov. Cuomo.
Sarah Jessica Parker, who played main character Carrie on the hit HBO series, donated $5,000, while Kristin Davis, a.k.a Charlotte, chipped in $2,000, according to Nixon’s camp, citing financial records.
The show’s creator, Michael Patrick King, gave Nixon’s campaign $15,000.
The activist actress’ star-studded donor roll also listed $21,000 from comedian/actress Rosie O’Donnell, $10,000 from actress Kyra Sedgwick, $5,000 from actress Mary-Louise Parker and $5,000 from actor Zachary Quinto.
All told, about 20,000 people have given a total of $1.1 million to Nixon.
Her campaign told The Post that more than half of the donations came from New Yorkers and that most were for less than $10.
“This is a people-powered campaign,” said spokeswoman Lauren Hitt.
But the new figures show Nixon has just $431,000 in the bank as the primary battle enters its closing months.
By comparison, Cuomo reported having more than $30 million in January on hand.
