The people who live close to Dana Lowey Luttway’s Upper West Side townhouse claim her years-long renovation is destroying their quality of life.

Luttway — the daughter of Congress member Nita Lowey — paid $10 million for the home in 2014, DNAinfo reported. While she has renovated and flipped townhouses in the past, Luttway told the publication she intends to live there with her family.

Locals say they’ve been complaining about dust and noise since 2015.

“The issue here is that [the developer] has no supervision of the contractor. The contractor is chronically bad and dangerous,” neighbor Joseph Bolanos, told DNAinfo. There have been two stop work orders in 2015 and 2017 as a result of his complaints. The contractor ABR Builders LLC has forked over $7,200 for violations, according to the website.

Bolanos suggested Luttway’s political influence is why the project is allowed to proceed. However, Luttway said the only thing holding up the project is Bolanos’ complaints, adding he is a “menace” who should be muzzled.

In 2014, Luttway and her husband sold their 9,000-square-foot townhouse at 47 West 70th Street for $19.2 million — after paying $8 million for it in 2011. [DNAinfo]Miriam Hall
