Law firms will have to create a “stand-out” environment that makes staff want to come into the office if they wish to see lawyers start working onsite again, says Danny Gilbert, managing partner of Australian corporate law firm Gilbert + Tobin.

Protracted COVID-19 lockdowns in Australia over the past two years have made working from home a permanent feature of the legal profession. But like other law firm leaders, Gilbert is concerned about the effect this might have on culture, team building, collaboration and learning.
